people watching

lately I've been spending a lot more time studying in public places. I've realized that I get more done out of my room so I've been going to places like the libraries and Common Grounds to do my work. its very interesting to see all the things some people do when they get comfortable in a place. you can observe people in their daily routines. I've discovered I really enjoy people watching (creepy?) but I feel like that is a big part of sociology. that is what sociologists do, observe people, or society. I think the way I have been observing people is much more symbolic interactionism, since I am seeing people individually.
